Fishing Vancouver Island With Invictus Charters
Come aboard Invictus Charters – with Captain Gerry – and enjoy some of the finest fishing Vancouver Island has to offer. Vancouver Island is a world renowned sport fishing paradise and, as countless fishermen who have been lucky enough to fish this area will attest, the action can be fast, furious and always fun. We are located in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. We service the following areas: Nanaimo, Sooke, Victoria, Campbell River, Nootka Sound, Port Alberni, Bamfield, and Ucluelet.
Invictus Charters has been fishing the waters around Vancouver Island for over twenty years and, as Vancouver Island has the mildest climate in all of Canada, we are blessed with up to 365 days of fishing. Our custom aluminum Silver Streak is licensed to carry up to five guests and we are Coast Guard approved, Transport Canada certified and a proud member of the West Coast Fishing Guides Association. Captain Gerry holds a Certified Tidal Angling Guide designation – the highest standing in North America – by The Sports Fishing Institute of British Columbia.
Fishing takes place year round, peak months being May, June, July, August and September, and can produce salmon in excess of 50 lbs while halibut may surpass 200 lbs. Winter Chinook salmon fishing can be especially productive and, coupled with prawn fishing and crabbing, can complete a hearty seafood smorgasbord that will warm any winter’s night.
During your fishing trip, the variety and abundance of our wildlife will become apparent. On any given day you may observe, Gray Whales, Orcas, Dolphins, Seals, Sea Lions, Black Bears, Bald Eagles and many other species, in what is one of the richest marine environments on earth.
If you’re looking for a charter guide for a halibut, salmon or bottom-fish excursion, call us today to plan your fishing adventure. You can also now book a spectacular evening Crab and Dinner Tour with Invictus Charters.
Invictus Charters is proud of the excellent service we provide for all our guests.
